Welcome to the beginning of a new day! I started this business because I have an extremely vibrant passion for crisis planning and mitigation. I maintain my Master's Degree in Threat and Response Management from the University of Chicago, and have 10 years of professional communications experience doing internal and external communications for the Illinois House of Representatives, Advocacy Groups, Political Organizations, and State Agencies. I have also managed and recruited teams from 5 to 40 people, and I understand how challenging it can be to be a leader. My focus on leadership and crisis communications came about through my professional experience of working with leaders who sometimes lacked the necessary support to overcome a crisis. Whether they were lacking empathy, a calm head, or trust of their team, I have seen many different leaders get rattled during challenging times, which has a direct impact on the success of the organization. Ultimately if our teams cannot succeed then our organizations cannot meet their mission and goal, which impacts brand integrity, revenue streams, and everything in between. That is why here, at Blue Empress, I am committed to working with leaders across an organization to not only improve their leadership abilities, but also to ensure that they have the ability to convey the critical details they need both to their teams and the public. Now I do not expect this to be an easy path, leadership seldom is. However, by working together we can ensure that your team knows that this isn't just a seminar that will be thrown by the wayside and forgotten about the second you walk out the door. Instead, we are going to dive deep into some of your biggest challenges so that, when crisis comes knocking, you are ready to be the best that you can be, no matter what.
